Welcome to the web home of the Vermont Professional Photographers
As we enter into our 83rd year as VPP, it might be a good time to reflect on the many benefits of membership to this organization. Beginning my reign as president, I thought about how I felt when I first decided to join. What was the possibility of not being able to photograph a wedding that I had contracted to do. What if I had broken an arm or leg. You can’t have a sick day when the bride and groom are depending on you. Since becoming a member of VPP, I have made many friends that I know would be qualified and willing, to step in and fulfill my responsibilities on a wedding day. Invaluable benefit to membership. Would you like to get to know several photographers that you could call on for help or even equipment rental, if you were in another part of the state and not close to home? Invaluable benefit to membership. Have you ever been perplexed about some new software or equipment? Lots of knowledgeable people in the membership that would be more than ready to help. Invaluable benefit to membership. Isn’t it just fun sometimes to just sit and talk “camera” with someone that shares your same passion? Invaluable benefit to membership. At our bi-monthly meetings we present programs that we think will benefit you, with your camera, software or business, skills, that will insure a successful future in professional photography. Our yearly convention is a great way to test your skill at the print competition, gain knowledge from the programs and enjoy the company of your fellow members. Invaluable benefit to membership.
So if you are thinking of becoming a member or are a member, remember that these benefits all come from active participation, do attend the meetings and don’t be afraid of helping out or asking for help. The board and myself are very much here for you, the members, to make your membership all that it can be.
Respectfully yours,
Terry Norris
