You are a photographer. Ask most photographers why they do what they do, and they’ll tell you they love making photographs. It is the reason so many of us got into this business. So what’s up with this number crunching stuff? You became a photographer because you love to take pictures, not to deal with all this business stuff! You love your job so much – you’d do it for free, right? But doing something you love, doesn’t always translate into running a profitable business. It’s a numbers game - you can’t make up profit in volume, so if you don’t know your numbers you can be very, very busy, but not necessarily making ends meet. Do you own a JOB, or a successful profitable business?
